Privacy Policy
Basepoint Social ("I", "me", "my") is a sole proprietorship based in Pennsylvania, United States. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what I do with it. I keep it short because the site collects very little.
What I collect
Information you send me. When you use the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, business name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, Instagram or Facebook handle, and message.
Basic technical data. Like almost every website, the hosting service (Netlify) automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. I do not use this data to identify you.
What I do not collect. This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics, or tracking cookies, and it does not load fonts or code from third-party servers. If that changes, I will update this page first.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to set up and deliver the service.
- To keep records of inquiries and protect the form from spam and abuse.
I do not sell your information, rent it, or use it to build advertising profiles.
I use the contact details you give me to respond to your inquiry. I do not currently send marketing emails. If I begin a newsletter or promotional emails in the future, I will only send them to people who have asked to receive them, and every message will identify me as the sender, include my postal address, and include a working way to unsubscribe, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. I will honor opt-outs within 10 business days.
Who handles the data
Form submissions are collected by Netlify, Inc., which hosts this site and its form, and are emailed to me at Gmail (Google). These providers process the information on my behalf under their own privacy terms. I do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries for as long as needed to follow up and for ordinary business records, and I delete inquiries that did not lead to a working relationship within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and as long afterward as needed for taxes and accounting.
Your choices
You may ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or ask me to stop contacting you, by emailing basepointsocial@gmail.com. I will respond within 30 days. If you live in a state with a privacy law that gives you additional rights, I will honor those rights as well.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and I use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please do not put passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information in the contact form. If a breach affecting your information occurs, I will notify you as required by law.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
I may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
